Most welding methods can be used to weld Alloy 20, except for oxyacetylene welding. Alloy 20 can also be hot formed using the same forces required to hot work austenitic stainless steels. In terms of machinability, outstanding finishes are possible using the same set-up and process speeds used for austenitic stainless steels, such as 316 or 317.
Ratnam Steel provides Stainless Steel Alloy 20 in custom shafting, either finished or semi-finished, to meet your critical tolerances in diametrical, ovality, straightness, finish and length.
