Hot working should be performed between 1600° F and 2250° F.
At high temperatures, Inconel 600 exhibit resistance to oxidation and they also display superior strength. It is not possible to harden Inconel 600 material by treating it with heat, this can only be done by cold working.Inconel 600 displays very good resistance to corrosion, because of the combination of chromium and nickel that are present in it.Nickel Alloy 600 is the basic material that is used for nitriding containers and the reason for this is because at high temperatures, it displays resistance to nitrogen.
