Y’ strainers are manufactured in Cast Iron , Carbon Steel & Stainless Steel material, with Stainless Steel screen of Ø0.8 mm perforation, for effective straining for mediums like, steam, water, air & oil. Protecting the devices from damage or being non-functional, is the prime endeavor of these strainers, rather than filtration of dirt, debris.
For new pipelines , while installation, before fitment, please ensure that the pipe lines are cleaned by flushing, so as to avoid choking-up of the strainer screen While installation, ensure sufficient space below the screen portion. Screen portion should not be above the centerline of the pipe line. Isolate the Strainer from both ends, before attempting any servicing. Periodic cleaning of the screen to be maintained.
