Monel® nickel-copper alloy 400 is a solid solution alloy that may be hardened only by cold working. It has high strength and toughness over a wide temperature range and excellent resistance to many corrosive environments.Alloy 400 is widely used in many fields, especially marine and chemical processing. Typical applications are valves and pumps; pump and propeller shafts; marine fixtures and fasteners; electrical and electronic components; springs; chemical processing equipment; gasoline and fresh water tanks; crude petroleum stills, process vessels and piping; boiler feed water heaters and other heat exchangers; and deaerating heaters.

These flanges are manufactured in different shapes and sizes depending upon the purpose.

Applications:

• Blind FlangesThese are usually used to stop one end of the flanged pipe, a valve orifice or the opening of a pressure vessel.
• Slip on FlangesUsed in quick assembly to save the cost, these are also used in less strict requirements in terms of length of pipe section.
• Socket Welding FlangesRecommended for orifice flanges. These work as substitute for slip-on-flanges in the cases where the diameter of the tube is very small and working pressure is very high.
• Lap joint FlangesThese are primarily used when quick assembly and disassembly of pipe line section is required under limited working pressure.
• Threaded FlangesThese flanges are used in special requirements to work under high temperature and pressure, making sure no welding joint is made at the assembly.
• Weld Neck FlangesThese are mainly used on heat coupling of pipes when there is possibility of expansion of the section while bending stress on the coupling.
